Telling it how it is not a rant and thank you NortyNancy for some very important info. How overloaded you and women are here and how much effort you put into attending to your mail, painted a excellent picture of the reality here. Personally I think that sort of behaviour is perhaps a side effect of what online dating has become thanks to smart phones and so many different apps that people are using. Okay so slut is seriously amusing, I've been reading this thread with interest, I also consider it a compliment and feel sorry for people who can't find their inner 'slut'. How we bring up true definitions from the good ole dictionary. Seeing how the word meanings change from time to time. Yep the definition of slut will eventually take on another slightly different persona. Now to be honest yes I have known what I would call sluts (the derogatory use) both female and male and they are those that tend to make me rather ill. They are the types that have to tell everyone and brag about their many encounters and generally couldn't give a shit in anyway about the people they have encountered.

I actually find it rude annoying when someone doesn't follow the flow and content of a conversation. I treat a written conversation like a face to face chat, attentive and considerate. I also don't spread myself so thin that I lose track of who and what I'm talking about. Had you met this guy and gone for drinks only to have him distracted, answering SMS messages and checking emails during you're meeting I'm sure it would have pissed you right off. Sure he's way out of line with the name calling but you can't blame a guy for expecting you to pay attention.

That's great, but if you receive a dozen messages a day, it's hard not to spread yourself thin. Unless you were to communicate with one person only and ignore the rest of course, which is also frowned upon. See the dilemma?
