For whom? We each have our own ideas on what is appropriate and what is for you may be different for me. Now we are hearing of Old Rockers having another baby when they are in thier sixties. The woman needs to be in her 30's so is this appropriate? I guess it depends on the couple involved. I have met men in thier 50's who are really immature and I have met men in thier 20's who look and act much older. Having said that, I dont thnk I would be comfortable playing with a 20 year old.

As they say different strokes for different fokes. I am 50 but a young 50 at that, some well as we know don't look after themselves. My last encounter was with a 25 yr old and she had no complaints. I think connection is important and I don't worry much about age. Others are strictly within a certain age gap and wont budge, thats their choice. After all this a world of many different types of people and respect plays a big part. If your both cool who cares..have fun..but don't criticise those outside your norm. Try it you might like it, not all women are cougers, some younger women prefer an experience older man.

Half your age plus 7 means a 31yo is your lower limit, fionabee, and OP's would be 16, considering she's 19 that's not tooooooo weird, as usually the formula doesn't apply til you're 19-20 anyway so as to make it legal.xx Sarah

I have never worried about what others think anyway so I dont think I am about to start now. If I really wanted to play with someone under the age of 31...then I would...and have done so...and if others dont like my choices, the things I do or say....well that is thier issue and I can not see anyone making it my issue! I think too many of us are too worried about what others think.

I thought it was halve the person's age plus 7... for me that makes my youngest lover possible around about 31.... I could also apply another test... my eldest child plus 10... that's puts them at about 33.The truth is, I've probably ..errr.... accidently... limbo'd my way under the hurdle once or twice. We have preferred ages on our profile and we do try to stick to them, but we have no doubt that we may have unknowingly broken the 'rule' already and that we may do so in the future as we don't always ask for ages when we meet people, but we do seek mature personalities.Our age preference is because of our kids, we have a 22yo and an 18yo so for us to play with people of that age kid of makes us feel a bit weird as we know we are old enough to be their parents and that just brings to mind the old thought (nightmare?) of days gone by - that of catching your parents having sex.Sorry, not much help we know but ultimately there are many people outside of the 'normal accepted' age range who can provide exceptional time and fun - but it is your decision and you should not be swayed by anyone other than yourself, and if you have fun than it was worth it.Shell and Gaz

Thanks for all the responses! To me personally, age is just a number. I've been with and am friends with people who 'normally' you would think were my parents friends. My main quest was just to see what other people's thoughts were on the topic. In my perspective though, i'd say most people on this site wouldn't mind about ages, it was more so to do with my personal friends/acquaintances, who i guess aren't soo.. sexually free? as i am :) But yes, 100% agreeing, as long as it's legal than i'm keen ;) haha.

For us... we go with my age boundaries... Anyone who is younger than my sister - who is nearly 21... is a no go. Anyone who is close to my parents age - Mid to late 40s... is a no go. I don't want to be hooking up with anyone who could be my Mum or Dad.

When you dont meet someone because of their age you could be missing out on some fantastic sex.....I am married (8yrs) to a wonderful man twice my age and consider myself extremely lucky. Age is just a number and don't conform to stereotypes...iv lost friends through them finding out my sexual behaviours. I went to swingers parties, had been with married couples and slept with men over twice my age (I'm 22). But I love it. my formula is as long as the other person is not related, is legal, no one is getting hurt and they will leave with a smile on their face then anything is ok. As for us we agree with most of the comments on here. Really it doesn't matter as long as you are sexy and everyone finds everyone else attractive in some way. I did have an interesting conversation with someone older a few days ago. He was looking for a couple to play with him and his partner.
