    1. Just checking you know what site you're on. This isn't your ordinary dating site, worth clarifying because after decades of marriage the whole online dating world can get a bit confusing. 2. When a man leads with "after 22 years of marriage," I become cautious. For me it can signal that there's still a lot of processing to do, and that tends to leak into new connections whether you intend it to or not. Your past marriage has nothing to do with your future relationship. If that's the first thing out of your mouth when you meet new people, it might be a red flag, because you might not be ready yet and a lot of wound leaking required. Find your own feet first. Interests, hobbies, an identity and personality that exist completely outside of that relationship. Figure out who you are now, not who you were in that marriage. Some therapy might help get there faster. Good luck, it's genuinely tough, and there's no shame in taking the time it takes.

Go to the social events in your area to meet people if this is the lifestyle you’re interested in. Online dating is rough for all genders for different reasons, and it’s taxing and demoralising sometimes. Be patient, be kind to yourself and others, don’t send dick pics unless someone specifically asks for them, take some nice pics that show your eyes and your smile, and make sure your bio isn’t lazy or AI generated. Good luck!
