welcome to the forums hun xx reading your thread just then gave me chills.....you are so right in what you have written...good for you im sorry our bantering caused you sadness...but sometimes that is all it is dont take what you read in the forums to heart hun...it will do your head in come sit on the couch with the rest of us...fat and skinny and just watch the fun...everyone is welcome on the couch again good for you for standing up to show us all how silly we can be well done roxxy xxx

I just want to hug you Missy, you put into words my beliefs so well. I have no time in my life for people who think they are better because they are beautiful, all I have is a moments sorrow for them then I move forward.

I wish I could take that sadness away my darling, but you're the only one that can do that. What I can do is let you know I think your beautiful and suggest you start to ask the question "why" without yourself passing judgment on others. For example, Why on a site where all is bared by most for the RHP world to see do we still need to defend our body shapes. And Why is it that in defending ourselves we must attack others. The answer as I understand it. I am human I am frail I am vulnerable I wish to be perfect, although I know perfection does not exist. I am the sum of my experiences, good and bad. I crave respect, but it scares me to receive it. I feel the need to protect the thin crust of self-respect and self-image that exists in my mind. I try and use humour to deflect from my frailties. And while I try to tell myself that I do it to bring smiles to peoples faces, I know it is really about making myself feel better. Makes no sense, but I know it to be true. You have already stepped up to the plate and for that I thank you. Contributing yourself to the forums as yourself, that’s all we can do. You've got a cute smile, so it would be good to know that that smile is on your dial. And remember Everyone is beautiful until they prove to me otherwise.

Well said Missy. I must admit I was a little trepidatious about reading this post, but so glad I did. We seem to have strayed away from the hard core stuff, instead, wallowing in 'deep as a puddle' value statements based upon the landscape of one's body...and we all know, gravity, children and a myriad of other external & internal sources can change that at any particular point in time. Thank you for putting things into perspective!! I, for one, would like to see more of you around here!! xx

I loved your last original post and I love this post as well...you are a true gem in life hun. Never change who you are. You have given me food for thought here and I think it is about time that I turn off the computer for a while everyday and take the time to find the real me again. Just like the song says, a whole lot of woman needs a whole lot more. Probably because of the experiences life has throw at you along your journey. Just be comfortable with who you are and remember you have to love yourself before you can love anyone else.

That was such a heartfelt comment and I'm sure it's given a bit of a kick in the arse to those that needed it in the other thread. Everyone is beautiful and should be reminded so on a daily basis! I love this website you-are-beautiful dot com (dashes included) it gives me warm and fuzzies knowing that ordinary people around the world leave a bit of art behind to remind those around them that they are beautiful! Oh Missy, thanks for this post. I did actually write a response about how judgmental we are as a species and how we have to make a conscious effort to fight the urge. Alas big brother was stuffing up everyones posts and mine never made it on the page, no loss really just a little opinion of my own! We all should feel lucky to be ourselves as there's always someone in a less fortunate position. Also any ideally beautiful person can be struck by fate and have their health and/or body taken away from them. Life's a lottery, be happy with your winnings and considerate of others who might not win as much as yourself.

Hi hun Well said! i agree entirely. Personality is much more important and i know how it feels to be teased when you are younger when all you wish is the best for everyone, event he bullies. I too was once a biog girl and I am also extremely proud of myself for losing all the weight and keeping it off. But that been said no matter what size you are it's the size of your heart that matters most. If you love who you are and people can't except you for you then they are the ones missing out. We are all human and noone is perfect an i think it would do everyone the world of good to remember that. great thread hun I wish you all the happiness in your life and hope you find whatever it may be that your heart desires as you truely are a greta person and deserve it the most.
