Lingerie Blockbuster!

It has the makings of a Hollywood summer blockbuster: fast cars, explosions and Miranda Kerr in skimpy underwear.

But the latest work from Transformers and Pearl Harbour director Michael Bay isn't a three hour action movie — it's a 90 second ad for lingerie company Victoria's Secret.

The One Gift. A Thousand Fantasies commercial debuted during the Victoria's Secret fashion show last week on American television and has already caused a stir.

Bay posed the lingerie-clad models over motorcycles, on spiral staircases in the middle of the desert and across snooker tables.

And instead of the slower, more sensuous music usually associated with lingerie commercials, Bay has used heavy metal on the ad's soundtrack.

Despite being one of the most successful movie directors of recent times, Bay has made several ads for Victoria's Secret in the past.

He has also filmed commercials for Nike, Mercedes Benz and the famous 'Got Milk?' campaign, in addition to making movies like The Rock, Armageddon and the Transformers series.

The lingerie company has never shied away from unconventional commercials, with legendary singer Bob Dylan starring in one ad in 2004.

The $5b retailer's annual fashion show is broadcast on network television in the United States and typically receives hundreds of indecency complaints for its risque nature.
