Family Guy: Season Six - Directed by Steve Callaghan - Starring Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein

If you've stuck around for five seasons then you're obviously a fan of the Family Guy formula, find society's sacred cows and slaughter, slaughter, slaughter! The latest bovine smashing season will not disappoint fans as The Family guy creators hit their straps lampooning some seriously kitsch pop icon legends - from their beloved Star Wars to the VHS bin populating Mannequin. Not only are the references cooler, the wrongness that the show has become so famous for is... wronger!

Somehow Peter seems stupider and while Stewies hi-jinks have perhaps waned a little in volume his parts are funnier and more worthy than ever, especially when he teams up with his old sparring partner Brian. As always Meg and Chris play the not so funny support to their parents, the dog and the hilarious Quagmire and his B character cohorts. In fact the creators have almost turned the children (Meg more so than Chris) into perennial heels, serving as the butt of Peters increasingly hateful and increasingly funny insults.

There are only 13 episodes here which is a little light on compare to previous Family Guy seasons which would suggest an extras heavy bonus disc but the additional material is pretty limited. One significant highlight is the deleted scene featuring The Family Guys take on the Odd Couple formula, of course in Family Guy land our odd couple comprises an ex-model shacking up with an ex-rapist... obviously hilarity ensues - worth the extra disc by itself.
