Consent does not just pertain to sex; it must be sought ahead of any interaction with sexual context that could cause harm or offense without its presence. Saying No
If you’re not feeling a spark and are not intending on continuing a conversation, let the other person know. Do so politely, and without ambiguity. Better everyone knows where they stand so they can move into their next opportunity. If another member becomes abusive after a rejection, block them and report them immediately. Our moderators will review their behaviour and take appropriate action.
Hearing no
Regardless of what your mum thinks of you, there’s a chance some people just won’t dig your vibe. It’s not the end of the world, and you really shouldn’t take it too personally. If you do get knocked-back, don’t try to talk somebody around, or ask them for reasons why. They’re under no obligation to justify their answer. If you experience a rejection, just strike it up as a miss and move on, there’s plenty more members for you on RHP.
