Social events

March 11 2018

I was speaking with a mate about hooking up, and I suggested that we meet at an RHP social event.

Sadly, after applying, I was told that the events got quite enough single men, thank you for your interest.

Now, fuck me dead, that’s why I wanted to go!

These RHP events are so heterosexual it’s sickening, don’t you think?

Hugs

    To organise one yourself.

I'm sure there would be plenty of men that would be interested in meeting in a social setting that don't get the chance to go to 'normal' events maybe even the races or something like that.

Count me in I'm happy to be surrounded by not so heterosexual hot men 😜

I don't actually get why there's a cut off for single males at most events when it's a social event in a public venue.

We have had many social events, in bars, restaurants, sports venues, Kings Park ( for a sundowner) and never "capped" the amount of single guys. Its social after all. As Freaky suggested. organise one yourself. Mind you, one of our very first meets was the total opposite....it was all women and one guy! Nowadays the men are not quite so shy though

Yes, it’s possible to organise one myself. I’ve organised a handful of RHP meet and greets back a few years, before RHP dedicated staff to the task. Back in those days we were an inclusive bunch of fuckers.... so anyone could come. It was, after all, just a meet and greet.

I remember attending one organised by a well known forumite. All the ladies got together and handed out remote controlled vibrating eggs... and then all the guys got a controller. I must say those eggs were popular.

Anyway, seems RHP pretty much have a hetero policy for meet and greets these days. It’s like couples club and stuff.... any mm action causes an up raw amongst the wannabe hosts... A bit silly really, but hey, we are used to it. There are plenty of other events on other sites for guys like me. 🖕🏿

Perth seems to have had a dearth of good socials for a while! Does that mean the economy has picked up again!!

As you know, I always enjoy meeting you and the rest of the thinking ladies around town!

But yes Gaz it certainly does appear that way. I thought the whole idea of a M & G was so people could meet like minded people in a less intimidating/formal way whether they be straight, bi or gay, single or couple. I have met some of my closest friends at them.

So what l don't get if its a public venue with no costs involved to the hosts where people are buying their own drinks and free to mingle around the venue and to leave if they so wish why the cut off.

I've been to Brisbane and Melbourne M & Gs and low and behold they weren't overrun by single men quite the opposite as Koko pointed out. For a site that's supposed to be full of open minded and accepting people they sure a shit go out of their way to make people feel otherwise.

Ok then that was more of a rant than l planned it to be 🤔

    Hugs,

I haven’t been on RHP for a couple of years but I’ve got new interests. The events used to be useful to vet others to find your crowd, though now I’ve got some serious doubts, since somebody has taken it upon themselves to decide who should and shouldn’t attend.

We used to get 100 or so people interested and maybe 30 show up. I doubt that’s changed at all.

I like NBO parties. The host is a great guy. A couple of years out of the social circle and things change, so who knows.

Mate it's just the demographics, they have every right to pick and choose who how and when they won't to attend. They are not breaking any laws.

The logistics, combined with the correspondence, alone would be time consuming. I understand in a sense they are attempting to replicate and or use your idea of great place atmosphere, and safe enviroment to have people meet in. a Hope that double dutch, sort of makes sense.

    Postive vibes off

    Negative vibe on

Yep as young Freaky stated, "

whole idea of a M & G was so people could meet like minded people in a less intimidating/formal way whether they be straight, bi or gay, single or couple."

    Very Well said young lady.

The phase -Selection criteria it's here to stay, everyday throw away line in my view.

Yep if I had the "COIN" I'd be doing a roving M+G road trip, fuck the expense, lavish 5 star hotel ballrooms, for like minded people to mingle in no pressure environment.

    SELECTION CRITERIA

happy, non judgemental, polite, respectful, with heart beat.

Fuck it just have a pool party with BBQ, start small build on that. Rumour control will take control, of the rest goid and bad.
