A Florida teenager reportedly called the police and asked to be taken to a Christian children's refuge after she heard her mother having sex.
A police officer arrived at the girl's Panama City home at about 4am on Thursday morning and noted there had been a "verbal altercation" between the mother and daughter, The Smoking Gun reports.
The 15-year-old said "there was no form of abuse or neglect in the house", but she "felt disrespected" by her mother's actions, according to a police report obtained by the website.
Her 35-year-old mother said she had invited her boyfriend over and that her room is next-door to her daughter’s.
After speaking to officials from the Christian children's shelter the 15-year-old decided to remain at home because "it was almost time to go for school".
The police officer gave the girl a brochure on resident's domestic rights.
