A journalist for a conservative US newspaper has been outed over her night job as a stripper.
Sarah Tressler has been covering high society for the Houston Chronicle since last April.
Now she has become the focus of local gossip after a rival newspaper published an expose about the 29-year-old moonlighting as an exotic dancer.
The Houston Press's story revealed Tressler has been working "on and off" as a stripper since 2004 and keeps a blog titled 'Diary of an Angry Stripper' under a pseudonym.
She also has fan pages on Facebook and Twitter under the same pseudonym, 'sarahtress', where Tressler shares provocative photos of herself in lingerie and high heels.
Tressler uses her no-holds-barred blog to talk about her customers' irksome requests, fetishes and late-night liaisons.
"I worked from 1:30 to 11:30 last Thursday, which is long enough to hang out with some friends, make some new contacts, eat lunch and pull down about $750," she writes in a January 1 post entitled 'The 10-Hour Day Yields an Icky Fetish'.
"I also had a run-in with one of my least favorite of the weird fetishes: guys who like to have their nipples, um ... bothered.
"Foot suckers aside, the nipple guys freak me out the most."
Her social networks have been blocked since her double life came to light.
Neither she nor the Houston Chronicle has commented on the expose, with Tressler telling US news website ABCNews.com: "I'm awaiting the editor-in-chief's decision with regard to my fate at the Houston Chronicle."
But Tressler's colleagues have told the Houston Press they are "furious" because Tressler would flaunt her "stripper money" in the office by showing up to work in high-end clothing.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Tressler has a master's degree in journalism form New York University and teaches writing at Houston University.
