Going, Going, Gone!

Melbourne-based Justin Sisely has spent over 12 months searching for male and female virgins to be auctioned off on camera in the US state of Nevada, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Sisely, who held auditions in Sydney last year, said yesterday the auction would be done face-to-face at a brothel, with bidders in the same room as those selling their virginity.

Each virgin will get $20,000 plus 90 per cent of the sale price while the brothel will be given the other 10 per cent.

"The hardest part is telling the parents, they hate me," Sisely was quoted as saying.

The Victorian government warned Sisely last year that if he filmed his documentary in Australia he risked being charged with prostitution.

But the documentary's "stars" disagree, with one virgin saying she did not consider it to be prostitution.

"It's not going to be a regular thing, so in my head I can justify that I'm not going to be a prostitute," the waitress, who uses the name "Veronica" said.

"I don't think I'll regret it."

One of the male virgins said he would use the project to meet someone while another said he was willing to have sex with a man or a woman.

Family First Senator Steve Fielding ddescribed the documentary as "absurd, ridiculous and disgusting".
